Where atonement is concerned yes and that is contrary to Gods’ character . It goes against His mercy and justice. -

The reformed view teaches “penal substitution.” This belief teaches how Jesus was punished by our Father in place of sinners. That simply can’t be true.
The real truth is that our dear Lord was sinned against by His creation and all sin against Him must be repented of to be forgiven.-
Interesting. So the reformed view believes that each animal that was killed and sacrificed by man for man’s sins was “punished by God for man’s sins?”

Hello Mike.
I believe Jesus is perfectly one with His Father. Because of this, it’s clear that He held back His own anger at those who sinned against Him, mistreated Him. This completely changes the reformed view of scripture.
-
Yes, I agree, He had a much larger perspective than only his own earthly perspective. I am not aware of the “reformed view of scripture”, but I am in agreement with what you see.

Hello Mike.
I hope I’m posting this in the right spot. I have to scroll down a lot of posts that aren’t in answer to my post to get to one that is. Unless there’s a quicker way?
Also, is there a spot or forum where scripture is taught?

Hello Chaplain Ron.
I’m sure we should understand the cross of Christ as our dear Savior holding back His wrath against sinners who violated Moses’ law by crucifying Him. -

Hello Crystal.
I’m an old Christian but new here.
The transformation of believers first occurs as we walk along with Jesus by His Holy Spirit guiding us. Our minds and conduct are being made new, or conformed to His image.
After this when our Lord returns in Person, He
gives us immortal bodies,Who shall change our vile body, that it may…

I’m wondering how many people here believe in penal substitution, or substitution area tone meant.
Most Christians I’ve met seem to believe that. I see the Bible saying just the opposite from front to back.
Would anyone please comment? -

I’ve been seeing how our Lord cares more for us than anyone else, but we can see His love best in people who truly care for others.
-
Agreed! Jesus said that the world will recognize us because of our love for each other. Love is a VERB. Our actions towards each other is what the world sees, and what either pulls people towards Truth or pushes them away from it.
