Addictions are often the result of trying to medicate pain. We often turn to a very poor “medication” because it takes our mind off of our hurt or gives us some kind of reassurance. The short term pain relief reinforces the bad behavior. To break free from the addiction requires more than just white knuckling abstinence until it is gone.…
